A meditation starts with a request in the chat. Omi writes a script draft, and saving the draft makes the meditation ready to play.
Steps
- Open the app and choose New Chat.
- Describe the meditation you want. You can mention the practice, the length, the time of day or anything you are going through. For example: "A 10-minute body scan to wind down before sleep."
- Omi writes a Script Draft in the chat. Tap the draft to read the full script.
- If you want changes, ask for them in the chat. For example: "Make it shorter" or "Add more silence at the end."
- When you are happy with the draft, choose Save & Play.
- In Playback Settings, choose a voice, background music and ending sound, then choose Continue.
- The player opens. Speech is generated as you listen, so playback can start right away.

On a first meditation, Playback Settings starts with Nora, a Gemini voice, and no music or ending sound, unless you set Default Player Settings in Preferences.
After you save it, the draft card becomes a saved meditation card. Tap it to open the player again. The meditation is also in My Library.
Writing a good request
You do not need special wording. These details help Omi write the meditation you want:
- Length: for example 5, 10 or 20 minutes.
- Practice: for example breath awareness, body scan, loving-kindness or visualization.
- Situation: for example before sleep, after work or before an exam.
- Style: for example more silence, fewer words or a particular tradition.
Omi may ask a question or two before writing. You can also add lasting preferences under Custom Instructions in Preferences, so you do not have to repeat them.
Use your own script instead
To use a script you already have, paste it into the chat. Say whether you want Omi to keep it as written or adapt it. See Pauses for how to mark silences.
Credits
Creating a meditation uses credits. Listening to it again does not. See Plans and credits.
