You can download any of your meditations as an MP3 file and listen to it outside Open Meadow, including offline. The file contains the full mixed meditation: speech, pauses, background music and ending sound.
Download a meditation
You can start a download from three places:
- the More menu in the player
- the actions menu of a meditation card in My Library
- the actions menu of a saved meditation card in chat
Open Meadow then shows the progress in steps:
- Synthesizing voice: generates any speech audio that is still missing.
- Preparing audio: joins speech and silences into one track.
- Adding background music: mixes in the music, if the meditation has any.
When Your download is ready. appears, the download has not started yet. Tap the .mp3 file below the steps to save it to your device. If a step fails, choose Retry.

If you start a download from a card and have never confirmed the meditation's voice and music, Playback Settings opens first.
What the file contains
| Element | In the MP3 |
|---|---|
| Voice | The meditation's current voice. |
| Pauses | Adjusted to the target duration and the saved spaciousness position. |
| Automatic gaps | The same gaps as in the player. |
| Background music | The selected track at the selected music level, looped for the whole meditation. |
| Ending sound | The selected ending sound after the last words. |
The file is named after the meditation title, for example evening-reset.mp3.
To download a different version, change the voice, music or spaciousness in the player first, then download again.
Credits
Downloading itself does not use credits. If speech audio is missing for the current voice, generating it uses credits, the same as playing the meditation for the first time. Downloading the same meditation again, or audio that already exists, uses no credits.
Meditation history
Saving a downloaded file adds a session to your meditation history. Because Open Meadow cannot tell whether you listened, the session is marked as assumed. You can confirm or remove it on the History page.
Use of downloaded files
The meditations you create belong to you. You can use them commercially, including with clients or students, on every plan and during the trial. No payment or attribution is required. See commercial use.
