Terms of Service

Last Updated: August 25, 2026

Welcome to Open Meadow. These Terms of Service govern your use of our meditation companion application. By creating an account or using Open Meadow, you agree to these terms.

1. An Evolving Service

Open Meadow is a young product in active development. This means:

  • Features may change, be added, or removed without notice
  • The service may experience bugs, glitches, or interruptions
  • We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time
  • No guarantees are made about uptime, reliability, or data persistence

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Open Meadow.

Open Meadow offers a limited landing-page demo that can be used without creating a registered account. These Terms apply when you use the demo.

3. Your Registered Account

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • All activity that occurs under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon deletion, all your data will be permanently removed from our systems.

Each person may create only one account. Creating multiple accounts, or allowing others to create accounts on your behalf to access the service, is not permitted and may result in suspension or termination of all associated accounts.

4. Your Content

You retain all rights to the content you create using Open Meadow, including:

  • Meditation scripts you write or generate
  • Chat conversations
  • Any other content you provide

You may only submit content that you have the right or permission to use.

By using the service, you grant us permission to store and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you. We do not use your content to train AI models or for any other purpose.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service
  • Violate the rights of others
  • Use the service in any way that could harm Open Meadow or its users

6. Plans and Payments

Open Meadow offers a free plan, a 14-day trial for new accounts, and a paid monthly subscription. Extra credits can also be purchased; they are one-time purchases and do not expire.

  • Payments are processed by Stripe. The price, currency, and any applicable taxes are shown at checkout.
  • Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the app's Preferences; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period.
  • Monthly usage allowances do not roll over and are not refundable.
  • For refund requests, contact us at [email protected]. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

7. Personal and Commercial Use

Commercial and professional use is allowed for meditations and other output you create while you have:

  • An active subscription
  • Full access granted by us
  • Remaining extra credits

This includes, for example:

  • Using meditations with clients or students
  • Including meditations in classes, courses, workshops, retreats, apps, podcasts, or videos
  • Selling or distributing meditations outside Open Meadow
  • Publishing meditations on public channels such as YouTube or Instagram
  • Creating promotional meditations for a business

No separate commercial license or attribution to Open Meadow is required.

Your commercial permission continues for content created while you had one of the forms of access listed above, even after that access ends. To create, adapt, or rewrite content for commercial use later, you must have commercial access again at that time.

Content created when you do not have commercial access is for your personal meditation practice only and may not be used commercially or professionally. This includes using the demo without signing in, or creating content on the free plan or trial without remaining extra credits or full access granted by us.

8. Health and Wellness Disclaimer
