Welcome to Open Meadow. These Terms of Service govern your use of our meditation companion application. By creating an account or using Open Meadow, you agree to these terms.
1. Beta Service
Open Meadow is currently in beta/preview mode. This means:
- The service is provided free of charge during this period
- Features may change, be added, or removed without notice
- The service may experience bugs, glitches, or interruptions
- We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time
- No guarantees are made about uptime, reliability, or data persistence
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Open Meadow.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your account credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon deletion, all your data will be permanently removed from our systems.
Each person may create only one account. Creating multiple accounts, or allowing others to create accounts on your behalf to access the service, is not permitted and may result in suspension or termination of all associated accounts.
4. Your Content
You retain all rights to the content you create using Open Meadow, including:
- Meditation scripts you write or generate
- Chat conversations
- Any other content you provide
By using the service, you grant us permission to store and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you. We do not use your content to train AI models or for any other purpose.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the service
- Violate the rights of others
- Use the service in any way that could harm Open Meadow or its users
6. Personal Use Only
Open Meadow is designed for personal meditation practice. The service may not be used for commercial purposes, including but not limited to: producing content for resale, distribution through third-party platforms, or generating material on behalf of a business or commercial service.

7. Health and Wellness Disclaimer
Important: Open Meadow is not medical advice, therapy, or psychotherapy.
- The service is a meditation companion that supports your personal practice
- It does not teach meditation or provide therapeutic treatment
- It is not a substitute for professional medical or mental health care
- You take full responsibility for your use of the app and your meditation practice
- Do not use meditation features while driving, operating machinery, or in any situation requiring your full attention
- If you have any medical or mental health concerns, consult a qualified healthcare professional
8. Third-Party Services
Open Meadow uses third-party AI services to generate meditations and process your requests. If you choose to use optional features like ElevenLabs text-to-speech, you must provide your own API key and accept their terms of service.
9. Limitation of Liability
Open Meadow is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service
- We are not liable for any loss of data, even if we have been advised of the possibility
- We are not liable for any interruption or termination of service
- Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the service is to stop using it
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or via email. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Open Meadow at any time, for any reason, including violation of these terms.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
